every day is play day for you SUYS group 2 may

this is done for the group 2 may challenge at SHOW US YOUR STUFF i loved the challenge,and a real challenge it was..... most of you would know the gorgeous stunning eye for detail style of the one and only STACEY YOUNG, well the challenge is to use gesso and fabric to make your background.......well i had a go,my 1st time ever at doing this, and because my order with gesso hasnt been delivered yet i had to make my own,so i used acrylic paint mixed with pva glue and used that.....need more practice though lol.....so after spreading(my version of )gesso 0over the base then putting on calico and putting more 'gesso' on i misted it in different colours(i dont have many colours,more mists coming for me too), (if only this challenge was for next mth lol),and because i was limited on mists i used some liquid pearls for added colour......and here you have it.......

okies enough of my rambling, i love these pics of our gorgeous little man doing what a 1 yr old does best.....playing.......used my new found staple stash item of washi tape on here too,as if i need another scrap product to be addicted to lol.......and used some of my other addiction, of a lil somethin embellies,ie the kite,clouds, pinwheel,button and flag

did this for this mths challenge at SKETCHES WITH A TWIST......the twist is to use stitching, i handstitched down the sides of the main pp strip.... i love this pic of Colin and it really suited this MME range, TFL

this layout is done for vicki'ssketch challenge at SCRAPBOOKING TOP 50....... she also asks that you alter the sketch dont just copy it directly,so the only  thing i could think of really changing with the sketch was the amount and orientation of the photos.... love these pics of our littlest man.......this is  also for the colour challenge this month at GLOBAL SCRAPPERS.....  to use black,white,grey,yellow  and navy blue........TFL

and excuse the bluriness of this card,  i just cant seem to photograph cards clearly.......  this is for the card/stamping challenge at GLOBAL SCRAPPERS, to use buttons,and a stamp you have never used before.......love this stampset, the sentiment is 'thanks sew much'

enjoying your chockie lollipop - may 123 challenge

i thought  i would play along with the 123 challenge this month, i loved the criteria - the word enjoy, the colour orange and twine..... this is what i came up with......Colin enjoying his chockie lollipop,  he loved it.... TFL......the gorgeous denim flowers and resin roses are from POLLYSCRAP KITS........ and ive finally gotten into the washi tape fad, another addiction for me now

STUCK sketches may 15th sketch

this is for the may 15th sketch at STUCK SKETCHES loved the sketch and the only thing i altered was the extra pic on the side.......the circle around it is a bracelet that Connor made for me, it was way too small lol so he told me to use it on a scrapbook page,so here it is lol..........TFL

the Cuteness can deceive - another layout for ATL

this layout is another one i did for my guest designer spot at APPLE TREE LANE....... this little cutie, is sooooooo cute (yep im biased but mums are allowed to be lol)but dont be fooled,my nickname for himwhich is very true to his nature is 'mini tornado'cos he is not happy unless he trashes every room he enters,and im not joking lol.......

SCRAP the BOYS.........and GIRLS may challenges

This 1st layout is done for the SCRAP THE BOYS challenge this month,to use a pic of  your boys getting dirty(that honestly is so easy for me)as my boys esp this youngest one loves getting dirty..... these pics depict what Colin does as soon as i take him downstairs.....  he finds a  dirt pile  and quickly sits down and swipes his hands all through it  then he stands up and starts kicking it lol.......TFL

 this  2nd layout is done for this months challenge at SCRAP THE GIRLS i dont normally play along to this one  cos i dont have any girls,but i do have a sister so could scrap this quote that you have to use this month,TFL

as Chocolate-y as it gets - KRAFT IT UP for may

this is done for this mths challenge at KRAFT IT UP......as easter has just been and gone, its time to interview your kids about what easter means to them.......thats this mths challenge and to use kraft c/s or pp as the base...... i used my crafters workshop template again(another scrappy addiction for me - as if i need more lol),  since Colin is to young to  be interviewed - since his vocab is limited to mummy, daddy, bub, yeah, ta and din din, (well he is not even 14 mths yet lol) this page is related to Connor's interpretation of easter...... at 6 its all about the easter bunny, he is quite surprised that the easter bunny knows he doesnt like chocolate so brings the boys toys instead..... Con saw these chocolate lollipops at the shop so i got  them 1 each,colin devoured his,but con only had a few licks of his....he just isnt a chocolate-y kid......

do  you like my cute bunny peeking out the top......its off  some packaging(that connor saw on the ground when we went for a walk to the shops.....he picked it up and said ' mum,this is cute, you want it for your scrapbooking lol.....this kid is definitely a scrappers son)..........he made a cute addition to this page anyway i think....... the gorgeous green flower is from  apple tree lane, i added a blingy thing that was on a hair tie, the cute bunny charm  hanging off the a lil somethin hessian is from my2angels.as is the resin  flowers....

this is done for the group 1 challenge for may at SHOW US YOUR STUFF........had to use the given image for inspiration, it was a lovely picture, i went with the colours and the brick wall.....my pic i think was perfect for it, although the brick wall is behind the boys not  them looking over it......... this pic is proof that im mum to more than just Connor and Colin lol..... this is Connor, matthew and ethan(6, nearly 13 and 14), used my  new crafters workshop template for the 1st time(got a couple in my order that was my mothers day pressie), all embellies are a lil somethin and the quote i love..... believe in your imagination and your  dreams will take flight.......

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY to all  the mums  out there.......its  the one day where our job as a mum is  appreciated and celebrated..........................im having a lovely day and getting dinner cooked for me(pat does the BEST roasts)....hope  you are all having a great day too......................ps.... although i am a mum of 7 boys - i only have 2 sons(a sad situation that i have come to terms with) oneday i may publicly disclose why,but for now its a story for another day.................................

i did this for this mths sketch at PURPLE PUMPKIN,  again its a sketch i loved, my pp embellies used are the plastic doilies(used some to make the banner and the flowers,)spottie button bottle  cap green spotted button  the older licorice allsort and the felt clouds......the yellow striped and star buttons are made by me i love these pics of the little man loving the slide at the park........TFL

i did this for the current sketch challenge at HANDMADE BY SUZANNE loved the sketch,and as per usual  i didnt alter it  except added the smaller pics at the bottomof  the large one, imfinding it hard to use a large pic without adding smaller ones ...... this is our gorgeous little man and his gorgeous smile.............TFL

MAY inspiration at ARTASTIC

a new month sees new inspiration at ARTASTIC where imon the dt, and the gorgeous painting this month is a lovely piece by Russell Drysdale, called the cricketers.......................the extra criteria this month is for it to be outdoor sport themed, i dont have any 'cricket'pics, so  footy had to do lol...... Connor has started footy this year,but with wet weather he hasnt been much,  and im yet to get some pics of him, this is Alex back when he played under 6's it was a while ago  considering he is now 19 (and off the rails, but we wont go there)........ i love these pics and am quite happy with how this turned out......................TFL
